What was the solution?

Mooncascade provided expert knowledge in design (web and mobile), modern web development, and product management. We built the TVPlay web using React & Next.js. This allowed leveraging both server-side rendering for instant page loads and client-side rendering for smooth navigation afterward. TVPlay web enables watching localised streaming content straight from a web browser on a laptop, a phone, or via a Chromecast device on the TV.

The implementation includes a public web for free, advertisement-supported content (in-player & banners), and additional content and features (e.g favorites, continue watching, DRM protected content) for registered users. For pay-to-watch customers, we built integrations with various payment methods, such as credit card payments, PayPal & mobile payments via Fortumo.

Partnership value

After going live with the new web solution, new functionalities of the page increased customer registration rate and conversion from registered users to paying users.
