Tpilet is a long-distance bus ticket sales platform with the biggest user base in Estonia with millions of rides conducted and tickets sold every year. The platform belongs to T Grupp AS.
Solution
Mooncascade helped Tpilet redesign and build its web interface. When redesigning the ticket sales platform, we took users’ behaviors and habits into account and improved the user flow to make it more intuitive and faster to navigate when buying the ticket. In addition to tweaking the user experience, we also updated the visual design and made the web look modern and aligned with Tpilet’s existing brand.
From the development side, we built a brand new front-end for web and self-service kiosk applications. The latter can be found in bus stations all around Estonia. Both front-ends are based on React and Redux. The kiosk application runs as a website inside the SiteKiosk application using the embedded Chrome engine. Our development also included custom APIs for ticket printers and payment terminals.
The result is a smooth, responsive, and modern interface that enables customers to buy, change and return bus tickets with ease from the website and via self-service kiosks in the bus stations all over Estonia. All of which has increased and continues to grow Tpilet’s communal transport ticket system user base.
Thanks to the comprehensive quality assurance and testing done by Mooncascade, we were able to launch a reliable and errorless product and start earning profit from day one. The thorough testing process helped prevent mistakes in both code and business process development.
